Visit Sunnyhill Alpacas / Twisted Sisters Fibre Mill This farm has about 100 animals. The morning would entail meeting the animals, then touring the mill to see all the steps in yarn production. After breaking for lunch, the afternoon will involve learning to dye the natural yarn. LOCATION: Leduc County (A map will be sent to those who have registered) DATE: July 15, 2023 TIME: 10 am to 3 pm, bring your own lunch COST: $25
The cost includes one skein of yarn per person plus access to all opened pots of dye colors.Limited to 6 participants per class. We can schedule more tours. If you missed this tour, please send an email to info@focusonfibreart.org to have your name placed on a list for the next tour/workshop.
What Does the Student Bring to Class?
- Paper and pencil for notes
- bag lunch
- This is a farm, so proper footwear is a good idea.
- Apron and rubber gloves (for the dyeing part)
