About the event
Are you a beginner or a seasoned quilter? Are you now ready to learn something different but still want to use your sewing and quilting skills? If so, then this workshop will help you "Branch Out” and introduce you to textures, fibres, painting, and stitching. You will learn a variety of techniques to build a broader repertoire of skills to create your own beautiful landscapes. In this technique class you will create your own reference book of samples. Susan Jensen is an accomplished quilter, pattern designer and fibre artist. She takes inspiration from the beauty in nature, and loves to photograph the waters, woodlands, and gardens in her home province of British Columbia, Canada. Sue’s objective is to give the viewer a feeling of being able to step right into her textile pieces and stay a while, and she strives to emote in her work the joy, pleasure and tranquility that is inherent in the simple beauty of nature. Sue speaks and teaches in quilt shops and guild meetings, at trade shows and retreats, and in her studio in Maple Ridge, BC.
