Workshop Guidelines

The Focus on Fibre Art Association (FFAA) studio is in downtown Edmonton. There is limited free parking in the area which we squeeze in as many vehicles as possible. There are a few restaurants nearby, although they may not be open on a Sunday.

We share our studio space with the Alberta Council of Ukrainian Art (ACUA). As considerate tenants we follow some simple rules to keep the space in good condition for all.

  • Please be prompt to class

  • Please wear clean indoor shoes while in the space

  • It is a scent free space – considering those with sensitivities or allergies

  • Please show respect to the instructor by not talking while instructions are being given

  • Please ask for permission to photograph any work or exhibits

  • Please silence your cell phone during class and leave the instruction area if you must take or make a call

  • Please tidy your area at the end of the day, making sure your table is clean and your belongings are removed. Please consult your FFAA representative to help clean and return the space to its original layout.

  • In the studio we have access to a kitchen which has a microwave and fridge; we provide tea, bottled water and coffee. Please keep this clean and pay for any items there is a fee for.

We try to open registration for any class at least 60 days prior. Circumstances may result in changes. If you cannot attend a class, please post your spot on the Facebook Workshop Registration Exchange page. It is the student’s responsibility to find a replacement and arrange for reimbursement. FFAA cannot refund class fees. If you do not have access or use Facebook, please contact:  FFAAprogram@gmail.com .

Virtual classes are held on the Zoom platform. If you need assistance joining, please contact FFAAprogram@gmail.com before the class. Someone will give assistance on a day before the class. When in the class please mute yourself unless you need to speak.
