Description
Explore the traditional art of rug hooking in this class designed for beginners and those wishing to rediscover the joy of this enduring craft. By pulling loops of wool or fabric through a linen backing, you’ll create a small, richly textured piece. Working with a simple pre-drawn pattern, you’ll have the chance to experiment with colour, texture, and surface while learning a variety of hooking techniques. Punch needle hooking will also be demonstrated, along with a clear explanation of how the two methods differ. Samples and resource materials will be available for inspiration, and most students will reach the finishing stage by the end of the class.
